It’s been quite a while since I reviewed animated hentai so I figured it’s high time I get back into it. Print can be exciting to a certain extent, but I prefer to see some life to the characters. To kick things off, I’ll start with a series that caught my eye, Oppai Heart.
THE STORY
Originally an eroge made by BISHOP, Oppai Heart has been made into an animation around 2011. The story revolves around our serious protagonist Ryuuya Akino. He has an older sister named Miya and lives a peaceful school life with his friends. But one day, he and his friends accidentally drink a strange medicinal juice. Once guzzled, the consumer becomes sexually sensitive and get excited. The breasts of the girls who drank it will get bigger and they will need to have sex to cool down. Also, to make a vaccine, they will need to get pregnant. Ryuuya starts having sex with the girls to cool them down and make a vaccine.
It’s never really explained as to how they got their hands on the experimental drug, but it has been implied that the school nurse has something to do with due to her knowledge of how to counter the effects. I don’t know about you, but that’s an unresolved plot hole that really bugs me. I haven’t played the game version personally, so as to how our characters were involved in this ordeal is just speculation on my part.
This two episode series is portrayed in a visual novel aspect by having alternate routes. The first episode involving Ryuuya’s path with Miya and the final episode is his route with his classmate Matsuri. At the beginning of each episode the story wastes no time to grab your attention with staggered breaths and bouncing breasts.
THE GIRLS/CHARACTERS
In BISHOP’s erotic animation Ryuuya has his hands full (literally) in both episodes. This hentai is definitely targeted toward the big breasted loving demographic. I’m not kidding, it’s in the title! Our heroines Miya and Matsuri are already well endowed, but the more our hero has sex with them, the larger their breasts get! Starting off with the first route, we have our protagonist’s loveable klutz of a big sister, Miya. She’s a bit of an airhead and a polar opposite to her diligent little brother. She’s also a hardcore brocon. Once under the effects of the medicine, her relationship with Ryuuya became more… intimate.
Matsuri on the other hand, is pretty much the epitome of the tsundere trope with her distant yet affectionate personality towards Ryuuya. She’s a member of the student council upholding the morals of the school, but she just can’t help herself around Ryuuya. Matsuri even goes as far as having sex with him on the school grounds just to get her fix when she’s influenced by the drug, but at this point she’s doing it on her own accord. If that isn’t an indecent violation to the school rules, I don’t know what is.
To be honest, I was expecting more interesting girls to show up in this series like its eroge counterpart, but alas it wasn’t meant to be. I was definitely looking forward to seeing the sexy nurse in action too.
VOICE/SOUND/MUSIC
The voice acting of this series was subpar to say the least. The dialogue between Ryuuya and Miya is decent especially when timing the delivery of the jokes this animation offers. It’s just Matsuri’s voice that I find irritating. She’s fine when she talks and pulls off her tsundere behavior, but it’s her moans and screams that are just plain grating. Hearing Matsuri in the throes of ecstasy really left me disenchanted. It almost sounded like the actress was forcing herself to sound sexy, but that’s just my opinion. It’s definitely something you’d have to hear yourself.
The sound effects were rather fitting. From the squelching of penetration to bukkake, BISHOP’s sounds were spot on in that aspect. As for the music, it sounds like one of the melodies you find in your average visual novel. It’s a rather pleasant piano track that I prefer over the tune of a generic porno track.
ANIMATION
Oppai Heart’s animation had top notch quality if you ask me. Everything was where it needed to be. Nothing was too exaggerated with the jiggle physics of firm round asses and the buoyancy of robust breasts. The lactation was a nice touch too as a sign of Matsuri’s side effect to the virus. So if you have a lactation fetish on top of a love for oppai, this erotic anime maybe just for you.
LONG-TERM VALUE
Overall I say I really liked watching this hentai even though it lacked a crucial plot point. I wouldn’t go as far as saying it’s on my favorites list, but I’m pleased with the abundance of oppai it had to offer. Despite its lack of voice acting, the visual content was stimulating enough to be enjoyed. Oppai Heart is probably one of those one time deals for me, but it wasn’t a waste of my time. Give it a shot, you might enjoy it too!
