Hey guys, we’ve got another part of the Affect3D video tutorial series for you! This month we’re going to take a look at how to clothe our G3 ladies, and make them wear items for different body parts. Clothing for G3 comes in two variables: with, or without mesh smoothing. So in this video we’ll also take a look at what exactly that function does. We’ll also see how mesh smoothing helps you achieve a realistic clothing effect more easily.
Also, don’t forget to check out our recent artist guide! There, we talk about the difference between dynamic and conforming clothing.
Next month we’ll take our posed and clothed girl, and put some lights on her for a proper portrait shot, and an introduction to lighting!
Check out our 3DX Artist Resource to learn more on how to become a great 3DX artist!

October 31, 2016Salute to the dude.
I came here to find out how 3DX is done and your series has made me downloading Daz Studio.
As far as i can tell, i am an Poser-User since Poser 3 by the way, Daz Studio is not to compare with Poser.
But i barely made my feeds wet, so it just my impression on that subject.
I like the UI, especially the options to customized it. Thats a point for DS.
But what really impressed my the most is the render-engine iray, its quick, its easy to use and the resultes are amazing.
I use Poser Pro 11 since its release date and i still have trouble with cycles aka superfly.
If it works, it took great amounts of time to get the job done, thats not the way one wants to work.
So, you already have me on the hook becoming a DS-User, please continue, i followed every step of your tutorials so far.
Greetings from Germany.
