Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, 3DX friends!
It’s that time of year again… The Affect3D Big Christmas Sale is on! From now until January 7th, 2018 you can enjoy 30% off your purchase of $30 or more with the coupon code XMAS17. The sale applies to nearly everything in our store this time, so go load up on any recent releases you’ve missed! Also while you’re poking around the store, be sure to add the 2017 Christmas Charity Set to your cart! The charity set is the one item not on sale (though it does contribute to your cart total to help secure your 30% off discount) but that’s because purchases go to charity, so you should pick it up anyway!

There’s not much more that can be said about a sale, so I’ll share a Christmas tradition we have here at Affect3D. Every year, Miro gives me the same Christmas advice: Don’t eat too much cake. Sometime in January these wise words are inevitably followed up with, “I ate too much cake.” I always wondered about this advice, because I’ve never once been served cake at Christmas. Where I’m from Christmas desserts are usually a variety of cookies and confections (like chocolate fudge and caramel pecan turtles), plus the occasional trifle or cream pie no one has room for. Cake and similar desserts are simply too substantial to serve as dessert, because it robs one of the stomach space to sample all the other options available. So I wondered… Do Miro’s friends and family just have a preference towards serving cake at Christmas? Or does this advice employ the word “cake” as a euphemism for “pussy?” Given the circumstances under which Miro and I know each other, I’ve decided it is the latter.
