Several weeks ago, Affect3D and the #3DX Discord community released its first collaboration, Tales from the Sex Crypt. The generous work of over 15 talented artists in the 3DX scene, this project, hosted by Supro’s goth hero Zoey, brought many chills and thrills to the likes of you. (We also hope it brought boners and wetness. Or something.)
As lead organizer for this collab, I’m pleased to announce that we raised $4,496.13 from sales to The American Kidney Fund since release! This is the most money Affect3D has ever raised in a charity event. Congratulations to everyone!
I personally would like to thank you, the audience, for contributing to such a great cause. In addition, I want to thank my fellow organizers (and #3DX admins) Clare3DX and miki3DX for their efforts in rallying the artists. I also want to thank miro of Affect3D for supporting this fine opportunity.
Most importantly, though, I want to thank my friend Supro for his constant presence and perseverance, as well as offering the collab idea. As many of you know, Supro is suffering from end-stage renal failure and needs a kidney transplant. So this effort was near and dear to him. As thanks, feel free to check out his website or follow his Tumblr!
So what happens now?
For now, we’re closing the Sex Crypt. But don’t fret if you hadn’t picked it up yet. I think everyone involved agreed that this collab was fun and awesome, and we want to do it again. We’re looking to do another charity collaboration, hopefully sometime in Spring 2018. Stay tuned in the coming months for updates, as well as chances to join in if you missed out the first time. When we release that, Zoey will likely want to poke her head back out. Meanwhile, feel free to check out the #3DX Discord and say hello!
