After many weeks of intense labor, we have finally achieved the pinnacle of 3DX website design! Welcome to the new Affect3D.com.
As we promised, we’re offering a smoother, modern, and friendlier website for everyone to read. In addition, we designed the site around mobile devices. So it’ll now be easier than ever to access your favorite 3D porn from your smartphone or tablet. Yes, even Apple devices work on it.
You’ll also see some new features for navigation, and we’ve thrown in some small touches such as reactions (in case you’re in a hurry to comment ) and full-fledged galleries and videos. We hope you enjoy the work we’ve done!
We’re going to be working on this all throughout the weekend. So feel free to let us know about any bugs or quirks that you noticed in the comments below. We’ll respond to them as quickly as we can.
In addition, we will update this post as often as we can in case there are any problems that appear here, or if we just want to let you know about new developments.
We like to thank our staff for the hard work they put into this. Special thanks goes out to Site Editor andi guinness for conceiving and overseeing the entire project, Loïc Artieri for helping improve our initial designs and conceiving the final feel of the site, our dogged programmer Roman for making sure our suggestions didn’t cause the site to collapse into a black hole somehow, as well as Supro, The Dude, and Marie Fasolt for their suggestions and support.
Finally, thanks to miro for putting up with all of this and being a guiding hand when we needed it.
Now you may be wondering why we’re doing this. Well, let’s see what comes next…

April 17, 2017It would be nice if the articles/threads that get a lot of responses would stay on top longer. You know what I mean? Cause if I press on the news button at the top now, this “Welcome to the new Affect3d”-piece here is already lost and forgotten somewhere in the fourth row. So I guess, some kind of “Hot Topic”-option would be cool.

April 16, 2017The website is a big disappointment. Still lots of bugs eg text on the search screen fills the page. The previous site was good and helpful with easy to find articles. The new website is jus endless scrolling until you may (or more likely, may not) find what you are looking for.
The site seems to have been rushed out to get it on a smartphone format. To be honest it looks like it has been designed and programmed by school children.
With this format I believe you will loose a lot pf users who are based on PC’s or Laptops.
An initial menu section would help a lot..
Sorry to be so negative.

April 10, 2017Thanks for enabling users to enjoy your website on our mobile devices especially those who have iOS devices.

April 9, 2017Honestly I am not a fan. Maybe it’s just because it’s new and I can’t get my bearings, but it’s too… busy?
miro
April 11, 2017we added all articles at the bottom of the home page, that likely adds to the business, but we’re cleaning up this area and will continue to make things more user friendly
overall I think the design is much cleaner, fresh and has a lot more potential

April 9, 2017suggestion : front page photos seem to have a dark grey filter on all of them, takes the vibrancy out of the pics. please remove
miro
April 9, 2017should only apply to lower third of the image and is necessary so that the title text is readable

April 10, 2017I’m on a 1080p monitor and the grey overlay covers 2/3 of each image. Maybe if the default header font sizes were set smaller? Here’s what I’m seeing:

Other than that, I’m liking what I see so far. 😀
miro
April 11, 2017it’s a toss up between image or text viability, I think you see enough of the image, but it’ll get confusing if you can’t read the headers
having said that I think we can ease up on the gradient a bit more, thanks for the input 🙂

April 13, 2017I am not sure if the change is already in place, but they picture are still pretty dark.

April 9, 2017My initial reaction is ‘where is everything’ changing my bookmark to the ‘news’ page restored some familiarity. The goal to make the site more device friendly has removed much of the site for my view on a PC. While i can scroll down the items in ‘News’ for the articles, motd, releases etc. There isn’t the immediate scrollbar of recent releases, so the front page promotional opportunity for your store is absent, also absent are other site banners and any sponsors.

April 9, 2017takes a bit of getting used to, expect usability improvements over the coming weeks and months
currently the 2nd row on the home page is dedicated to store releases with a ‘view all’ link
I myself use the the site mainly via desktop so don’t think we’re forgetting about desktop users 🙂

April 8, 2017I like the new design and dark theme. I got a little lost at first with the grouped items, but since I can click news to see all articles in chronological order I can say I am happy with the site.
On my mobile devices the experience is a little choppy and it often gives me the impression the browser crashed and is stuck. A few times after I scrolled down I wasn’t able to scroll all the way back up to see top bar (with the search and menu) and I had to use the back to top button.
We should be able to scroll by ourselves the item at the top of the page.
Overall good job!
It’s good that you learned from the DLC release not to announce something without it being completed first. Hopefully from this “very big surprise” that you have coming you will learn to not simply abbandon all communication with users on the site and forum. Even a simple message like “I can’t tell you anything” is better than being completely ignored.
Best of luck!

April 8, 2017I personally like the redesign of this web, although it’s true that one feels lost for the first few minutes. So I think there’s a certain lack of clarity until you realize the first block of “items” are the latest entries to the web, and then the latest products, MOTD, articles, etc. If you could put every single cluster of items inside of separated boxes (black boxes for example), I think it would be clear which are the Affect3D Store items, which are the Editorial one, and so on.
Also, another tiny thing. Before, you could change quickly between the highlights at the top of the main page. Now, you have to wait for the automatic scroll to kick in, which I personally think it doesn’t really invite to see the latest news.
Sorry if I haven’t explained myself well. I like what I see but I find a little bit difficult to explain those little things that seemed off for me.
Marie Fasolt
April 8, 2017You’ve explained yourself just fine and we’ll send those along to the dev team. I think you’re right for the slide scrolling… Users should have the ability to control it themselves, if for no other reason to scroll back to a slide they wanted to see again. It’s a pretty standard feature on most sites with sliders so I don’t think there will be much fuss in adding that. It’s likely already built in and just has to be switched on.
We’re working on making some tweaks to optimize both the mobile and desktop viewing experience. Right now on mobile the categories create a weird scrolling experience, and we’ve fixed some bugs with the desktop. Should be less confusing soon, and hopefully with feedback from users and staff over the weekend it’ll be more polished. Thanks!

April 8, 2017I’ve been an Affect3D fan and follower for about 5-6 years now and I have one word for the site redesign, AWFUL! And if it was designed specifically this way for the “mobile experience” then you guys totally failed. With my Android phone on WiFi the site loads extremely slowly and is extra jumpy when trying to scroll down. I’m sure the excuse will be “we’re still working out the bugs” but it doesn’t make up for the fact that the site is overtly visually busy while being less ergonomic then the last design. And this type of teasing about some big announcement to kind of appease us is BS anyway. The G4E DLC is now 2 years old with another product not likely to be released anytime soon. We haven’t heard from the creator/owner Miro in about a year, he’s abandoned his forum and his community in the name of profits. Basically whatever you guys release I wont be buying, you guys don’t deserve our money.
Marie Fasolt
April 8, 2017Hey Blarg, I’ve been absent from offering feedback to the design team the last couple months, so now that the site is live and in my face, I’ve already sent out a ton of feedback to make the design more friendly for desktop uses (of which there are a lot, among A3D regulars). The feedback you offered is valuable, and the specifics you have mentioned parallel some of what I’ve already sent in. If you stick around it should become a better experience across all devices as they implement some changes.
Redesigning the site isn’t really about making money, it’s about offering a similar user experience to users across all devices, and letting them choose the device they want to visit our site on. Our old site design really only worked on desktop, and anyone wanting to access our site on mobile was presented with an awful user experience. If our traffic numbers shift in a way that tells us our users are now accessing the site on mobile, then we’ll have a better idea of why our site traffic is so biased to desktop. If the traffic stays desktop heavy, then we can guess it’s just our audience’s preference to browse on desktop. We won’t know right away but regardless the dev team will work on making the experience ideal on all devices.
Because of our current policy on releases I can’t confirm or deny that the tease at the end of this post is a reference to a release, but I can say that said surprise is big, and is coming soon. I hope you’ll be around for it.
TheGreatCornholio
April 8, 2017LOL Marie if the big surprise is not a release, people are going to virtually burn this place down :)).

April 9, 2017Marie let me start by reemphasizing the very same aspect as my last statement, I have been a loyal follower for a long time. This is the literal first time that I can recall my grievances being addressed directly. That being said your logic for designing the site this way is nonsensical, I have had more issues searching for the content I was looking for in the last 24 hours then I did in the prior year. It clearly lacks a mobile or desktop first direction, to say the least it is sloppy! On top of the fact that you literally added to the ridiculous bluster of this site and it’s releases by claiming that you’ll somehow deliver on previous promises with some “big surprise” is insane! We both know that will not be true and secondarily to that, it is too little too late! I had already made up my mind to not buy the next Affect3D product, but your patronizing comment literally pushed me towards that resolve even further. This is literally the most I’ve seen you type back in the last year(not a compliment). I can’t in good faith wish you guys good luck in your future ventures as you have forsaken us(the fans) in the process.
Marie Fasolt
April 9, 2017I’m sorry if you felt my comment was patronizing, I didn’t have any feelings of that nature when I wrote it. I was just hoping you’d feel differently if I conveyed that your feedback was valuable and being considered. I apologize again if that didn’t come across.
Anyway, I’m not sure what previous promises you’re referring to unfortunately, as I’ve only really been working at A3D since August (all the VO stuff was freelance). I’m not intimately familiar with what happened before I came on and can’t speak to them. The only reason I said what I said about the surprise was because said surprise is coming soon, and I was vouching for that. It’s probably not going to make up for any past, and what I have to assume were broken, promises, but it is something cool and new that we’ve never had at the site before. So I hope people will take it for what it is and not let the absence of a DLC release detract from its spiffiness.
I respect that your mind is made up and am sorry to read it. I guess that’s about all I can say. Sorry.

April 9, 2017Do you realize there are a lot of behind curtain things happening in this place on a dialy basis for the majority of the affect3d crew?
Specially for miro and marie. After 2 years of the dlc’s its safe to assume that he became silent since a while for being busy in his next project, he will come out when the product is ready and then just promote the thing for a short time before release. As for marie she’s been off the grid too being busy with the things she said and also using her time for the recordings (hopefully) 😛
We should be thankful that from time to time they give us info of things; the majority of jap authors/circles (except for a few) don’t talk with his followers and only concentrate in their works until its released. The tip about limited or null communication since some time should be an advise of something very good like OP and marie already stated.
Glad you will be gone. For every ragequit there are 9 more old/new supportive ppl around.

April 8, 2017Excelent I like the new theme of affect3d

April 8, 20171st, yay!
Congrats guys, looking forward to enjoy the content in a less bright background, this really makes more comfortable to view and read. Kudos for the upgrade.
Btw, g4e dickgirl palooza confirmed, yus!

April 8, 2017Glad you like it! If there’s any areas you think can be improved let us know =)
Who cares
April 8, 2017Removing your site from my bookmarks. This new design is broken in so many ways I don’t know where to begin. Hang on. Yes I do. I hate sites that mess up their users’ experience because they focus on shitty mobile devices.
Marie Fasolt
April 8, 2017If you have any specifics points you’d like improved let us know. We’re open to feedback on the design and are actively making fixes to improve the experience on all devices. Hope you’ll stick around.
