Sex is changing. Everything about it, the way we perceive it, the way we enjoy it, the way we wish we could enjoy it – all of it is changing. You’ve probably already brushed against the idea in your everyday life. There are games that give the user the ability to interact with 3D models. Like Sexbot: Quality Assurance Simulator.
Most of the virtual reality we have now, the earliest incarnations of fully interactive experiences, are in their infancy. Our ability to really build a personality is just beginning. But it’s that infancy, the very beginning of this technological change, that started me thinking – where does all this end up?
I posed the question to a couple of different forums around the internet. The question was simple: With the inevitable ability to have a fully artificial partner in the future, how does that change our morals and ethics?
The conversation in both situations fell into two very different camps pretty quickly. Some focused on the idea of morality. When it’s an Android, do the rules of right and wrong change? Is it cheating if you fuck an Android on the side? Is having sex with an android like having sex with your vibrator or is something you should address with your partner? And there are a million questions and arguments about how far the line gets moved or if you move it at all.
Others focused on the idea that it could erase the gender issue. If humans could choose an artificial partner, maybe the the issue of gender could disappear, we could advance past such distinctions. Although others thought the gap would simply grow wider by adding a third option.
I loved the idea of exploring the issue of right and wrong. An artificial intelligence does not experience pain in the same way do. It doesn’t technically experience anything like we do. And lets just pretend, for sake of argument, that you could simply go to the store shop the aisles and pick out a model that pleased you. And let’s say that could be programmed to behave as you saw fit within a reasonable parameter – hurting no one in any way but doing whatever we would like them to.
It an interesting paradox, the idea that we could create a subservient species, one that we build and can control in every way.
What kind of sex partner would you want? What kind of sex partner would you program? A futanari woman with a massive cock that always seemed to stay erect, dripping and ready? Would you want to model your dream man on some huge stud with muscles built on muscles and an always erect, dripping, and ready cock? (Hrmm…I’m sensing a theme here.) What about a creature with a long tongue and more wet, pleasing holes than you could possibly satisfy in a single encounter? What about a submissive android modelled, younger?
When the question involves computer intelligence and machinery – where do the lines get moved to? Or do they get moved at all?
Today, the ability is still in the future. Our current abilities are hampered by all sorts of things, from computer hardware to the actual problems of programming a convincing, realistic intelligence.
But we are trying. We are rushing toward the opportunities the technology will afford. Think of the pocket pussy, not a thing that long ago. Now it’s standard issue equipment in our visual entertainment.
It won’t be long before these ideas and questions will require answers. The futurology of sex is a field ripe with things to talk about and contemplate. What do you think will happen when the technology catches up with our imaginations? Drop a line, let’s talk about it.
