Eclesi4stik may be difficult to say outloud, but there’s an easy way to say it: “Wow.” His artwork has amazed many viewers with its sheer beauty. With his girls (especially Elfy) wowing audiences, Eclesi4stik has made a name for himself by creating some of the most sexiest pinups in 3DX. With this Saturday being the big release of his second title Elfy’s Tales, we thought we’d take the time to talk with the artist to find out more about his style and the characters we love so dearly.
Tell us about yourself. Where did the name eclesi4stik come from?
In real life, my name is Aurelien. I am 28 years old (almost 29). I’ve started doing 3D about 4-5 years ago.
As for the name Eclesi4stik: Honestly? I don’t really know why I’ve chose Eclesi4stik. It just appeared in my head once! Maybe a part of esthetic, the contrast of the meaning word & what I do. At the beginning, I’ve start the 3D with this name “fallen21”. This one is “historical” as I used this one for many things like forums, MMORPGs, etc.
Where are you located at?
I live in France, more precisely in Paris (city of love it seems). I really love Paris you have everything! Whatever you’re looking for, it’s in Paris (as in all big cities).
How did you get started in 3DX?
Good question! My first year in 3D, I was not at all interested by 3DX. So what I’ve did in the beginning was just enough for me. When I discovered Renderotica, my interest in this domain started to grow, but I still didn’t know anything about this genre. I posted my artwork any place/site/forum I had went to (at this moment, I know only of Renderosity & DeviantArt), but my 3D art was not enough good (still today :D). I felt embarrassed at thoughts of others seeing my work when I had done a few 3DX pics. So I stopped doing this part during my first 4 years.
It was around last year that I decided to take the plunge. With my own site, it became easier to do what I really wanted to. There’s still one thing that never disappeared: My main inspiration of the erotic/charmed/fashion genres. I won’t say I don’t like 3DX, but I really prefer these genres. No, no, don’t worry! I’m not going to stop making my 3DX renders!
Did you start with this genre or did you start in a different one?
I’ve started, and to this day is still my main genre, in Pin-ups/Charm style. Obviously, I have to admit I was frustrated on Renderosity.
You’ve created what seems like dozens of characters. Do you have a weakness for creating beautiful female characters?
Hahaha! Yeah, I think I’m a lover of female beauty, so I try to focus on a few of them. Though, I’m too inconstant! Maybe if I had a unique character, I could be more faithful. ^^ But that’s a hard task when you’re not a modeler!
Tell us about your favorite 3 characters. What is their background?
Choose only 3 among my tons of girls? That’s hard! 😀 Well, I have 2 of them that’s stands out: Elfy & Spencer. With Elfy, I have 2 different versions of her: Elf girl & Petite human girl. Spencer is a lot more mature than my common girls, even though she’s still young. There’s not really a background, even there’s a sketch of my most common girls (Echo, Amy, Elfy, Spencer). I have thought about changing some things in my daily posts as I think I want to do a story featuring my girls and having them interact with each other. That’s only a idea for a project currently. Writing is not my main part & I’m not sure that I’m good doing such a task. 🙂
Also considering the number of characters you’ve created, why have you chosen to feature Elfy in both releases?
For my 1st release, I was looking for the most popular girl I’ve done, Coincidentally, I’ve never done 3DX renders with her. With the second release, I’ve did a poll on my blog asking the question “Which girl you want to see on my 2nd comic release?” and people voted for Elfy. Seems people can’t get enough of Elfy. 🙂 Not only that, I also had another poll asking which Elfy they wanted to see and turns out the Elf version one.
She’s obviously quite popular. Why do you think that is?
She’s my most popular girl to date, even Spencer doesn’t come close. First of all, she’s an Elf (her human version is not popular as her Elf version), so her shape please my followers. Slender body, long thin legs, “small” breasted (Too many big breasted girls out there), her hair (The most amazing thing is when I changed her hairstyle, some wanted her old one back), & of course of her young, angelic-looking, innocent face (She’s not so innocent ;)).
What was your intention behind “Elfy’s Diary” and what is the connection (if any) to Elfy’s Tales?
My 1st intention was to give to all of my followers & lovers of Elfy a hardcore set. Any hardcore render I had previously done with her was available for free on my blog. Elfy’s Diary was also my very 1st step in the 3DX commercial world, so she was my best asset to go with.
There’s no connection between them. “Elfy’s Diary” is a modern day comic & “Elfy’s tales” is a fantasy one with her Elf version. Maybe the only thing similar is her spirit. She’s more tender in Elfy’s Diary, yet takes more control of her partners in Elfy’s Tale.
What was your intention moving from a more softcore portrayal of Elfy in “Elfy’s Diary” to the more sexually explicit Elfy’s Tales. Was this a conscious effort on your part?
I wanted to show another face of Elfy. She’s not only the shy & tender lover you’ve seen in my 1st release. She can also take control of her partner’s pleasure. This was also a way to thank the buyers of my previous title Elfy’s Diary & give them better sex scenes in case they were frustrated by the 1st one. I have to sometime compromise between my taste & what the people want for my commercial products.
Where does your inspiration comes from, other artists, music, other things?
For my pin-ups renders my inspiration come from my imagination, what i see from photograph or 3D artist (real photos, 3D renders). My 3DX renders is more a life-like, something could be happen in real life also movie or picture i can see & from famous 3DX artists.
Where can we find you online at?
Any last words for our dear Affect3D readers?
