This is my first time getting a chance to review Beatrix-br’s work. I have to say that aside from her other talented pieces, this in particular caught my eye. It’s the tattoos that really do a lot for her work but the marble textures on the arch in the background are also impressive.
Usually, tattoos either are overdone, lack taste or look unnatural. While Cassandra Tatuada isn’t a piece that’s perfect in every way, it falls very close to a masterpiece. Beatrix really chooses tattoos and clothing that seem to go together, thus making it tasteful. Along with the hairdo and pose, we can see why this beauty would choose the kind of tats she has. Furthermore the lighting and background really complement her fair complexion and seem to set the tone of the entire piece.
My main reservations however with the piece is that the skin isn’t as well-textured as it could be. Admittedly that’s hard to do when you are trying to portray a goddess with flawless skin. But some kind of texturing or deviations in lighting could help make the tattoos seem less “printed on.”
With that said, I have to say that Beatrix is a talented artist and one with enormous potential. She’s clearly got the composition and lighting down to a science and all her pieces seem to have a story to tell. Make sure to view her other works and see for yourself if she’s got what it takes to make it in this competitive art world!
