All good artwork has a line of focus and a center of focus. The line of focus describes the pattern the artist uses while drawing to attract the attention of viewers. The center of focus is usually the end result of that line, the main image of that piece.
The title of this piece points the viewer right to the center focus, but that doesn’t mean your eyes don’t still follow the line first. It goes from the red of the background to the blues of her eyes and then down parallel to her breasts. But it’s there we meet a stop sign. Her breasts hide from view, black silk flowers covering them.
Her lingerie is the focus of the piece. It’s carefully designed so that while she looks scantily clad, the only skin she really shows is her bellybutton. It’s there to tempt and tease, but also to fuel the imagination. You’ll want to feel the texture of the rough fishnet material as you run your fingers across it and think of all the different ways you could remove it. It’s not a Valentine’s gift unless you unwrap it.
