Often we associate certain styles and models to their respective artists. There’s a signature vibe from almost every piece of 3DX but there comes a point where that tends to feel overdone. Sometime, artists are so comfortable with their models that they stagnate in variety. One might argue that Mickytroisd is one such artist, but here’s why I think not!
This piece in particular caught my eye because of its juxtaposition. Micky doesn’t resort to different genders, ethnicity or even fantasy species to showcase his skill. He sticks to the generic form he usually gravitates towards but side by side we can see his tropes. The texture of skin and hair is almost akin, but Micky can play around with complexions. The most obvious difference is obviously the cup size and hair color. However, the jarring similarity is in the facial structure of the models.
Does that mean Micky is unoriginal? I’d beg to differ, while its easy to feign variety by introducing sultry elves and vivacious dickgirls, Micky strikes a realistic and delicate balance. His models are similar enough for us to recognize his style at sight but in this particular piece he emphasizes that he’s more than able to switch things up.
An artist’s ability to adapt and transform is truly key and this artist is aware of his strengths. The background, posing and lighting is spot on here. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it and with United we get to see Micky proudly show his perfection. While this work is from 2015, it only goes to show that Micky has been working up to his current reputation in the 3DX scene for quite some time now. His progress is definitely worth some admiration, and so are his models, both busty and petite.
