We return again this week to our Feature Artist of the Month, Naama! While earlier this week we discussed the fantastical portrayal of voluptuous vixens. This week we bring something so much more real: Women in roles of power! It is no news that we’ve come a long way from decades and centuries old submissive preconceptions of the fairer sex, so much so that we even see it reflected in 3DX. I’ll spotlight for you two of Naama’s many exemplary works that show diverse scenarios but subtly hint at a common message.
This first piece portrays this one ebony beauty that’s position smack bang in the center of a natural, lush setting. In this piece, Naama masterfully brings together visual pieces from open skies to thin branches then flowing blades of grass which rest on the banks of a glassy water body. Even with the presence of a beautifully rendered cheetah, she manages to steal the limelight.
Clad barely even in her essentials, she gives us a look that dares we make a move. In fact, Naama makes the wild beast seem more tame in comparison. The unnamed warrior isn’t afraid to bare her perky body and still establish dominance with the viewer through sheer eye contact. The entire composition of this piece is testament to Naama’s prowess as an artist. Going out of one’s way to add elements like the water, foliage and even the cheetah is sign of not just sexy confidence but also expertise.
But Shad, we don’t live in the Amazon, and women can’t flaunt around their kitty nowadays you say. Well Naama seems to be well aware of that too. Here we are brought a scene that’s all too familiar in today’s day and age. A foxy lady, clearly blessed with the best of both worlds invites you to buy her a drink. But make no mistake, she calls the shots.
Once again body language is key. The model knows she’s got the goods and isn’t afraid to show it off. However she’s neither drunk, nor slouching. In fact, her inviting eyes seem to betray a hint of boredom, can you really keep up? Naama really knows how to set up a scene and this time with a more up close view on the subject, lighting is key. The sheen of the counter and glitter of the bead curtains don’t distract from the smooth radiance of her skin. Naama really poses her perfectly to let that violet hue bounce off her body and the revealing fishnet helps diffuse the rest of the lighting.
It all goes to show that Naama isn’t a one-trick pony. Her portfolio is full of a plethora of works appealing to different tastes. Take a look at a bunch of her other popular works at the Affect3D Store. Along with the recently-released Lucky Bandits 4, we have Lonely Huntress and Artifact, among many others.
