September 25, 2018Before I get into this, I just want to reiterate what I’ve already said elsewhere: we haven’t written what happens to Tristan next yet, so you take the rest of this comment with a grain of salt.
So I don’t think we’ve eliminated the need for Tristan. First of all — because it sounds like you may have missed this — we’ve been operating off the idea that Royal Descent is an alternate timeline. So in this timeline Tristan gets removed and Cerene fucks Sophia with her magic dick. In the other timeline, Tristan sticks around and who knows what will happen next? Three way? Fight? Escape? Any number of other options? There’s loads of places we can go if Tristan doesn’t disappear. But even if say… we eliminated the two timeline idea and made Royal Descent canon… suddenly Tristan would need to fight to get back and save Sophia from Cerene. Assuming she wants to be saved, that is.
I got to work on the Royal Descent script with Miro, and I’m hoping when it comes time to bring back Tristan, I’ll get to work with him on the script again. He’s got plenty of potential, whether he gets possessed by a demon, becomes Cerene’s protege, or ends up on that familiar path many great male characters take (you know, the one where they start out immature and grow into a legendary hero… or villain). Plus, Tristan has great stubble, and where there’s great stubble, there’s a great beard.

Plus there is no timeline far enough from the other, that the fuckfest we’re about to witness wouldn’t in some way resonate in all the Sophias in all the timelines. And she will think exactly the same thing we just thought.
