ForgeKyle has a knack for bringing his pieces to life. This GIF, however makes it all the more easy. Putting on a Show is just a teaser for some of the larger stuff he’s working on with his Patreon. I for one can’t wait to see the final product, but for now this will have to suffice.
However, regardless of the intended context it immediately reminds me of modern day succubi teasing viewers over webcam. What makes me say that you ask? Well, the moment she lets out a sigh (moan?) we see the quick glance to the side. Hidden from our view, there may be someone there, or possibly a lot of someones, on the other side of a live-stream camera. The possibilities are endless, and that’s why this particular piece works so well.
It’s not just the provocative implications we imagine, but also the overall quality. Even in GIFs, ForgeKyle upholds the standard expected of his works. The lighting, the angle of the camera giving us the perfect vantage point works hand in hand with the composition of the model’s pose. He chooses not to give us a glimpse from the eyes of the viewer(s) she glances at. Rather, we are elevated to a more up-close and personal position. This maintains the element of suspense for the Patreon release while still providing the best outcome for a standalone piece.
