Sometimes I feel like Gonzo is looking straight into my fetish library. Their erotic horror always delights, and this one’s rather ambitious. Gonzo Studios is back with an erotic Lovecraftian set, Dagon – this one centering around a fish-centric dark sea entity worshipped as a god. Using a lot of the source story in their tale, adapted to modern times, it ends up being quite the interesting take on it.
Dagon kicks off with a joy cruise being taken over by pirates, our hapless heroine escapes via the pirate’s boat while they’re busy enjoying her friends… and ends up lost at sea.
That’s when the dreams begin.
Eventually, she gives herself over to them, an endless undulation of monstrous, tentacled sex, fueling an ever-increasing lust. And after that, her boat finds land… of the black mire sort. The desolate hellscape is anything but inviting. But she has no choice than to venture out into the unknown, looking for what she knows naught.
The dreams return, ever-more vivid, and with scaly, fish-man-like entities instead.
What she finds next, in her waking hours, is darker and more seductive than anything else she’s encountered thus far.
As always, the attention to detail and choice of shots is exquisite. You can get Gonzo’s take on Lovecraft’s Dagon now in the Affect3D Store. This 61-page comic is quite the collection of erotic horror storytelling, and at $9.99 it’s a steal, I say.
