Hello everyone, in this month’s mid cycle update of Lord Kvento’s The Lustland Adventure we’ll be touching on some new additions. We’ll also go over a few aspects of porting to Unreal Engine 5, and what perks this will bring in the long run. If you haven’t seen it already, we have a free demo for the current map. After giving that a shot, if any of the gameplay seems appealing, you can see and play more by subscribing on Lord Kvento’s Patreon page. To the users who’ve played this version of the demo already: the demo will be updated to a more recent build in the next month or two.
Now let’s get into the update. As said above, Lord Kvento’s team is porting The Lustland Adventure over to Unreal Engine 5. End users will notice several benefits from this port in coming builds. For example, the new Chaos engine will improve both physics and cloth simulation. They’re also adding Lumen lighting as an option. The port does bring some minor bugs to the code and plugins, but it vastly expands what’s possible in the game (compared to Unreal Engine 4). Using the most supported engine will also ensure the tools used in the game will get plenty of support.
Lord Kvento and the team have also updated the sky system to be less demanding on GPUs. This is a small step, however every little bit helps in order to deliver smoother gameplay.
One of the team members, Maxalo, has also been working on a new map since the old map lacked several key things Lord Kvento was interested in seeing. WIP image can be seen below
Because The Lustland Adventure team is quite small, new team members and helpers have gone a long way. One newly added member has been primarily focused on some code that badly needed improvement. Players will see some performance increases in future main builds as a result of their work.
Later this month the team will also, most likely have another animator on hand to help add more poses inside the game. These will mainly focus on sex related content, however the team intends to get combat animations done soon so they can start major work on the other aspects of the game. (On that note, if any of you are experienced in the area of combat animation, and are open to the idea of working on The Lustland Adventure please, contact us.
There are many other areas being worked on, but this update is getting a bit long so we’ll wrap it up for now. The Lustland Adventure is certainly coming along at a good pace considering the size of the team. Feel free to come back next month for more information on Lord Kvento’s game is progressing!
